Jewish holidays and festivals (libro en inglés)
This book tells in simple language the stories, practices, and prayers of the Jewish holidays.
Included are accounts of the Sabbath, Sukkoth and Chanukah, the story of Passover and its overriding importance in the Jewish faith. Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Purim and Shavuoth are other holidays dealt with in depth.
The Jewish holidays are the jewels set in the crown of the months of the year. With their radiance they cast a glow on the ordinary days, and serve as wayside beacons that welcome weary Jewish travellers in their voyage on the highways of life.
The holidays relax and uplift the Jewish people, supporting them with a spirit which helps them carry on with their lives.
The authors, both Talmudic scholars, aimed their work particularly at young people in an endeavor to acquaint them with the beauty and eternal truths of their faith.
